President's Day

Aunt Katie came to visit this weekend, and we had a blast with her here. In fact, we had so much fun, we didn't take any pictures! :-) Saturday, Katie and I took the afternoon off and went to a fabric store to get things for a "prom" dress for her, as well as some cute fabric for skirts. Then we headed to the movies..I can't tell you the last time I went to a movie during the day. What a treat! Katie left early Monday morning, but Livi insisted we still do something to celebrate the day. We decided building Lincoln Log houses and pretzel log homes would do the trick. Happy President's Day!

Never Give Up!

A few days ago, Rich was in Livi's room and noticed this note she had written and taped to her wall. It says, "Never give up when it comes to something hard." It is signed "The Osguthorpes" and lists all the cities in which the Osguthorpe families currently reside. Rich asked her about it and her explanation was that, as Osguthorpes, we never give up! We figure it must come from Grandpa and Grandma O's song about Desire, Decision, and Determination, but where exactly she came up with this, we're not sure. Whatever the case, it's a good reminder to us all! :-)
