This weekend we finally had a soccer game that was warm enough to enjoy. What is it with soccer starting so early that it's freezing for the first half of the season??! Lola is a great cheerleader, copying most anything her Daddy is yelling from the sidelines....
This is Olivia's second season. She is on the same team she was on last year, with a great group of girls with fun families, and the best coach ever. We didn't know anyone on the team when she started playing last year, and we are so glad we lucked into such a great situation. The coach is really positive, and so are all the parents, making for a very enjoyable time for all (which is more than I can say for some of the teams we've played against in the previous weeks...what kind of parent gets all intense at a 6-year-old soccer game?!).
Olivia has become much more aggressive this year--instead of dancing around the ball she actually gets in there and kicks it every now and then! :-) And yes, as you can see in the picture, she is always the tallest on the field. Fun stuff...

Soccer Games
Three Months Old
Trenton is three months old. The biggest news is that on Saturday night he slept for 9 1/2 hours straight and Sunday night he slept for 11 hours. Woohoo! Of course, I waited to blog about it, thinking I would jinx it. He woke up at 3:30am this morning, so it's not permanent, but I sure enjoyed it while it lasted! :-)

Good Food
Kristin Ellis and I hardly know each other. We met at her parents' home in Ann Arbor, and have spoken to each other only a handful of times. We have many of the same friends, and her family happens to be one of our favorites from Ann Arbor. Notwithstanding our limited interaction, this girl has changed our lives for good here in the Osguthorpe home. While I enjoy reading her blog (especially this entry) I LOVE trying new recipes from Recetas, her recipe blog. We have probably tried over half of the ones listed on this site since Trenton was born, and I am a fan of every single one. A few nights ago we tried the Bruschetta Chicken Bake. It was yummy, and it only took me about 5 minutes to make--upping the "yumminess" factor 100 percent! My other faves are the Chicken Florentine, Southwest Chicken Pockets and salsa, and the Honey Glazed Chicken. So, thank you Kirsten for improving the quality of our family's dinner. And, I'm sure, considering our good taste in food, family, and friends, we could have been great friends!
Bruschetta Chicken Bake
1 can (14-1/2 oz.) diced tomatoes, undrained
1 pkg. (6 oz.) STOVE TOP Stuffing Mix for Chicken
1/2 cup water or chicken broth
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 ½ lb. chicken breasts, cut into bite-size pieces
1 tsp. dried basil leaves
2 cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
PLACE chicken (I brown my chicken first) in 13x9-inch baking dish; sprinkle with the basil and cheese. Top with stuffing mixture.
BAKE 30 min. or until chicken is cooked through.

Sewing Bug
Something about having a newborn gets me in the mood to sew! I think it has something to do with all those hours trapped at home during nap time. My latest venture was to make a purse. I copied this design from a purse my sister has. We made the pattern and bought the fabric while she was in town last month, and I finally finished them all last night. I think they turned out pretty cute, if I do say so myself! :-) Katie, I'm sending yours off in the mail today....
P.S. Can anybody tell me how to put pictures side-by-side in a posting???
