Lucky Peak

The Burtenshaws invited us to the lake for their last boating trip of the season. We had a blast! All the kids liked riding in the tube (some more than others), Olivia loved the kneeboard, and Rich even got out for one ski run as well. I stayed near the back of the boat with Henry...who slept most of the time due to the hum of the motor. We can't wait for next summer!

Lola's Party

After a weekend of family parties, Lola was still REALLY hoping for a "friend" party. We (I) decided it was best to do a very casual party after school on the day of her real birthday. Her friends from the neighborhood all came over to eat cake and ride bikes--Lola's two favorite things! It was the easiest party ever, and Lola enjoyed every minute.
And this picture was just too cute not to add! Love this guy!

Table Rock

We went on a hike to Table Rock on Labor Day with the grandparents. The weather was perfect, and it was a great hike with an incredible view of the Boise valley. After the hike, we had a delicious lunch at a local mexican restaurant, then did our least favorite thing of the day---take the grandparents to the airport and say goodbye! We were so sad to see them go! Luckily, we were able to end the day on a good note with a win for Boise State and Virginia Tech--Go Broncos!

Henry's Blessing

Henry was blessed on Sunday, September 5. We felt so blessed to be able to have both sets of grandparents come and have both Grandpas participate in the blessing. It was a lovely weekend with the grandparents visiting, and a beautiful blessing.

Lola's Birthday Weekend

Lola was lucky enough to have both sets of grandparents here to celebrate her birthday weekend! We started the day with breakfast at Lola's favorite place--Cracker Barrel--with Papa and Grandma Jones. Then we headed home for some scooter and bike riding and waited for the arrival of Papa and Grandma O. Once they arrived, we had Lola's favorite Baked Potato Soup and Caesar Salad. Then we headed out for a swim at Papa and Grandma O's hotel. After the swim, we enjoyed cake and ice cream, and prepared to watch the BYU game that night. Lola ended the day watching Enchanted and doing her best to stay awake after a perfect day!

Butterflies

Papa Jones sent us some caterpillars in a kit a few weeks ago that eventually turned into butterflies. It was so fun to watch the caterpillars change and see the whole process. The kids loved it! We waited to release the butterflies until Papa came to visit so that he could see them too. It was such a cool gift...thanks, Papa!
